Projects

I have always loved working on meaningful projects. It is a genuine hobby of mine - and occupies a lot of my time outside of "the office". Alongside many amazing partners, here is a sample of the organizations and projects I have helped build.

Storier is an audiobook, podcast, and music platform designed for kids under the age of twelve.

You'll love Storier if:

1) You are sick of the way large corporations target kids through ads and tracking (we don't offer ads, in-app purchases, or share your usage data).

2) You are cognizant of (or feel guilt about) the amount of screen time kids face (we only offer audio content).

3) You want to provide safe places for your kids to listen to age-appropriate content where they won't stumble into (or be recommended, for that matter) adult or otherwise explicit content (we carefully curate all of our content for audiences 12 and under).

AudioKid.com

AudioKid.com is a community for parents who are hungry for (and willing to share) ideas to raise their children in a world where screens are constantly begging for attention. With blogs and forums, it is place where we hope the most effective ideas will flourish.

PHILIDATA is an independent data-born risk consultancy firm.

With roots from Cambridge University, Philidata is setting out to become the preeminent technology-driven data advisory firm. Specifically, Philidata works with clients to identify, target, and strategically fix four types of data-born risk:

1) Privacy (Are you potentially misusing what might seem to be benign data?)

2) Exploitation/Manipulation Risk (Is there a risk your data sets are being used - without consent - to target your stakeholders?)

3) Algorithmic Bias (Are there built in biases to the your algorithms?)

4) Opacity (How many of your decisions happen in a black box and how might you mitigate those risks?)

Data is undoubtedly important - but its [often unintentional] misuse is increasingly leaving companies vulnerable to public shame and financial destruction. We help companies implement ethical and risk-mitigating processes, so they can simply LOVE THE DATA.
